Following the buffs it received in the Warzone Pacific Season 5 update, the Grau 5.56 Assault Rifle is rising in popularity again.
After being absent from the meta for some time, the fan-favorite Modern Warfare Grau 5.56 Assault Rifle is finally dominant again in Warzone Pacific Season 5.
Warzone Pacific’s meta underwent major changes with the arrival of the Season 5 update which brought buffs and nerfs to a ton of weapons, including the Modern Warfare Grau 5.56 Assault Rifle.
While the Grau 5.56 was initially an extremely popular pick, it fell to the wayside as weapons like the NZ-41 claimed the spotlight. Now, it’s finally dominating the mid-range meta again during Warzone Pacific Season 5.
The weapon received a significant boost to its max damage, damage range, and neck damage multiplier when the seasonal update went live. As a result, it’s becoming a deadly and viable pick again.
According to the WZRanked website, the Grau 5.56 currently has a pick-rate of 7.25, second only to the Armaguerra 43. At the time of writing, it is the most popular Assault Rifle in Warzone Pacific Season 5.
It also boasts an impressive K/D ratio of 1.11 and a win rate of 3.57. As a result, it’s catching the attention of the Warzone community, and Call of Duty expert Metaphor stated that the Grau 5.56 is “now meta again.”
After taking it out into battle, Metaphor was able to secure 25 kills and dish out over 15k damage to his opponents. The Grau 5.56 is able to annihilate targets in mid-range combat following its Season 5 buffs, which makes it a great pick for Fortune’s Keep and Caldera.
Since Season 5 is still in its first week, it remains to be seen if any other weapons will end up surpassing the Grau 5.56’s performance in Warzone, but it’s presently a powerhouse and worth trying out after hopping into the game.

Competitive Warzone is back, with the World Series of Warzone tournament returning for 2022. There’s $300k up for grabs in both the NA and EU regions, bringing the prize pool up to a mighty $600,000.
This time, however, it’s not just streamers and pro players taking part. During Season 4 Reloaded, Activision hosted open in-game qualifiers where anyone could be in with a shot of earning their portion of the impressive prize pool.
Here’s everything you need to know about the competitive Warzone event taking place during Season 5, including how to watch it, the schedule, format, and teams so far.
There will be a 2022 World Series of Warzone tournament in both the EU and NA regions, with each having a prize pool of $200k. Plus, to round off the event the SoloYolo returns, where one player from each region will take home an extra $100,000 if they can pull off the solo win.
40 teams of Trios drop into Caldera and must rack up as many points as possible across the event, where placement and kills count towards the score.
The NA Qualifiers were meant to take place on August 21 but were postponed due to technical difficulties and will reportedly now take place on Thursday, September 1.
Here are all of the World Series of Warzone events and their dates:
The format is much the same as other Warzone tournaments such as the CDL Resurgence, so here’s a breakdown of the scoring:
The World Series of Warzone finals will be broadcast on Call of Duty’s Twitch channel, but with there being 20 teams made up of invited high profile players, you should be able to watch their individual gameplay too.
We’ve embedded the World Series of Warzone Twitch stream below and will be sure to update this piece once we know more about the finals event such as the start time.
With the NA Qualifiers still to take place, not all of the World Series of Warzone teams have been locked in yet. However, you can expect the biggest names in Warzone such as TimTheTatman, Swagg, HusKerrs, Biffle, and more.
A few teams have been unveiled, and we’ll have the full lineup ahead of the finals:
The World Series of Warzone tournament was open to any player in the NA or EU regions, but the in-game open concluded on August 15 and the registration period is now closed.
The top-scoring NA teams are still to duke it out in the Qualifiers before advancing to the finals. Unfortunately, if you never played in the in-game open or registered, then you’ve missed your shot.

A Warzone bug following the Season 5 update is not allowing players to see their friends list and join the same party.
Following the Season 5 update, some Warzone players have been unable to party up with their squad due to their friends list disappearing.
The Warzone Pacific Season 5 update refreshed the battle royale with new weapons, Operators, and modes to enjoy on the revamped Caldera. Despite Warzone 2‘s upcoming rumored release date, Call of Duty fans are looking to enjoy Warzone until the very last minute of Season 5.
Unfortunately, a frustrating bug is getting in the way of the fun, as players are unable to view their friends list. This is detrimental for those who enjoy playing with friends as most are unable to join a shared party.
The issue came about after the Season 5 update, and it’s looking like a widespread problem that is impacting a ton of players. As of August 26, a post found on the Warzone subreddit detailing the bug has nearly 400 upvotes.
It’s clear to see that many players are unable to see their friends list regardless of platform: “PC here, zero Friends online, even my own self appears offline.”
While some are unable to see their entire friends list, others can only see friends playing on the same platform: “Same here. I’ve rebooted several times. I can only see in the same platform. No cross platform. Haven’t seen anyone else post about it.”
Raven have yet to address the problem and the bug has not appeared on their Trello board of known issues. If you’re not content with waiting for the devs to fix the bug, here’s how to fix it yourself.
For starters, you can check out our detailed guide on how to fix the Warzone “friends list not showing” glitch. Unfortunately, not all of the methods we’ve listed will work this time around, so we’re here to tell you which one will get the job done.
It seems for this iteration of the bug in Warzone Pacific Season 5, you’re going to want to use the method of creating a party with specific search settings.
In Warzone, you can search for a party with specific settings. To do this, go to the main lobby page and look underneath the team fill option where you’ll see the option to find a party. Once there, select party settings and set the same preferences as your teammates.
If you and your squad use the same specific party search settings and hit search at the same time, you’ll likely fall into the same party.
Several players have reported that this method works this time around: “Same here. Found a workaround. Use the party search settings and set it to very specific settings. Like I did quads fortune keep, with voice, slow and steady, called my friend and pressed search at the same time and found each other first try!”

Warzone Pacific expert WhosImmortal has revealed which weapon is dominating the meta after the Season 5 update.
Call of Duty expert WhosImmortal has revealed which Warzone Pacific weapon is dominating the meta following the changes in the Season 5 update.
The Season 5 update brought a ton of changes to Warzone Pacific, including various weapon buffs and nerfs as well as the addition of new guns like the RA 225 SMG and EX1 Energy Rifle.
These have all had a significant impact on the game’s meta, and players are wondering which guns are now dominant. Warzone expert WhosImmortal looked through all these changes and revealed the best gun in Season 5.
In his video, WhosImmortal placed all the Warzone Pacific weapons in a tier list. As a result of the Season 5 balance adjustments, the NZ-41 is not meta anymore, and the KG M40 is now at a lower spot on the list.
The top meta consists of weapons like the STG44, Marco 5, and Vargo-S, but WhosImmortal made it clear that nothing comes close to the UGM-8 LMG, which he declared “the best gun in the game.”
This fast-firing LMG is designed to create suppressing fire and push enemy positions. The UGM-8 received a slight recoil adjustment in the Season 5 update, but the Warzone expert made it clear that this didn’t hinder the weapon’s performance at all.
WhosImmortal described it as the “number one pick by a mile” after trying it out in numerous games. He explained: “The STG is good. The Vargo is good. The XM4 and FARA are good, but then there’s the UGM which is great.”
In this video, he also brought attention to other weapons that are worth trying in Season 5. The PPSh now has better range, and the reduced damage penalty on the Nambu rounds makes it “the number one SMG.”
Guns like the Carbine Cooper, Nikita AVT, and AS44 dominate the mid-range meta, but he made it clear that UGM is the best weapon in the game overall.
